Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA)

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts seeks applicants for Computer Science Instructor (Employment Beginning August 2017).

This full-time position includes all benefits of state employment. The successful candidate will teach college level Computer Science and Applications courses. A sample of current courses include Python, Web Design & Development, and Cybersecurity.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science and an interest in working with bright young people. Other duties include academic advising, sponsoring, chaperoning, or assisting in extra-curricular and student social activities outside the normal school day.

Required Qualifications

The qualified candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field along with evidence of two years teaching experience and/or professional activity.

Preferred Qualifications

18 hours of graduate work in mathematics and/or additional coursework in computer science, business, and/ or engineering with five or more years of teaching experience.
