2018-2019 School Year

Instructor - Physics/Computer Science (FT): The Maine School of Science & Mathematics invites applications for an Instructor of Physics and Computer Science. Candidates should have at least three years of university and/or high school teaching experience and be comfortable teaching a variety of Physics and Computer Science classes including: Algebra-based Physics, Calculus-based Physics (AP Physics C), Advanced Physics Topics elective (for students who have had AP Physics C), Introduction to Programming, Computer Science elective. Full time faculty members at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics advise a club or activity and participate in MSSM's student advisory program.

Qualifications: A minimum of a Masters in Physics, or related discipline is required, PhD preferred. Teaching load will be three sections of, at most, 16 students with weekly labs (up to three preps per semester). All successful candidates will exhibit an ability to inspire students, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a willingness and desire to work with high school students in a close-knit, residential community.
