2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

Due to its recent growth, the Maine School of Science and Mathematics invites applications for the following anticipated opening for the 2015-2016 school year:

Instructor - Social Science/Foreign Language (FT): The Social Science/Foreign Language instructor will be responsible for teaching two sections of a social science course and two sections of an introductory foreign language. Preference will be given to those capable of teaching US History, in addition to other social science electives.

Qualifications: A successful candidate must have at least two years of successful teaching experience in a formal, academic setting. Preference will be given to individuals holding a Master's Degree in History, Foreign Language or a related field.

All successful candidates will exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as willingness and desire to work with high school students in a close-knit, residential community. Full time faculty members at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics are also required to advise a club or activity and to participate in MSSM's student advisory program.

Bookkeeper:

  •        30 hour week
  •        Responsibilities –

o   Accounts Receivable

o   Accounts Payable

o   Payroll – including Federal, State and MePERS reports

o   Bank Reconciliation

o   Filing

o   Summer Camp Receivables

  •        Qualifications – An Associate’s degree in some aspect of business or 2-4 years’ experience in the field
  •         Compensation - Salary commensurate with experience
  •         Position will remain open until suitable candidate is hired
